Remember to always measure your room to check sizes are appropriate for your space and only use the pieces what you really need.
Large bold patterns on fabrics will make a piece of furniture look larger than it really is, so only use these patterns in larger spaces or on accent pieces, or use them in smaller amounts on items like scatter cushions or lamp shades.
An easy no-fail decorating tip is to keep your colour scheme very simple. Use neutral colour tones on walls and larger furniture pieces and then add your own personality and style with accent pieces and accessories.
